This is a premium experience developed with Cultural Attractions of Australia in mind.
Discover Australian stories through art with a guided tour
Begin your day in the most tranquil way possible with an exclusive before-hours experience at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, one of Sydney’s premier cultural institutions.
Before the gallery opens to the public, you’ll be welcomed into an intimate private session in a stunning gallery space featuring Ken Unsworth’s contemplative masterpiece Suspended Stone Circle II (1974-77). Here, experienced sound healing practitioner Chaitanyashree will guide you through a meditative sound bath using traditional singing bowls.
Settle onto a comfortable cushion or stool as resonant tones wash over you, creating an ethereal fusion of contemporary art and ancient healing practice. This unique encounter takes place in one of the gallery’s most iconic spaces, offering international visitors a rare glimpse into Australia’s rich cultural scene combined with mindful wellness.
You’ll emerge from this serene experience feeling calm, centred, and deeply connected—to yourself, to fellow participants, and to one of Sydney’s treasured cultural institutions. It’s an unforgettable way to experience both Australian art and the transformative power of sound meditation.
