Through the art of portraiture, we tell Australian stories to increase understanding and appreciation of Australian people – their identity, history, culture, creativity and diversity.

Our intimate, architecturally designed building was created with human proportions in mind, bringing visitors face-to-face with portraits of those who have shaped the nation.
