As the birthplace of Test and One Day International cricket, home of the AFL Grand Final, and host to many other sporting events every year, nothing can match the tradition and heritage of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Regarded as Victoria’s spiritual home of sport, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is Australia’s premier sporting stadium.

As the largest stadium in the southern hemisphere, with a seating capacity of 100,024, all eyes turn to the ’G when the AFL Grand Final is staged in late September, and on Boxing Day when the traditional cricket Test match commences.

The iconic stadium has hosted cricket games since 1853, played host to the Olympic Games in 1956, Commonwealth Games in 2006, and has seen many major events throughout Melbourne’s history – and continues to do so today. It is also home to the Australian Sports Museum.

A special dining experience at the MCG is The Committee Room by Grossi (one of Melbourne’s most highly regarded chefs). It features an exclusive menu and experience curated by Guy Grossi and is available on non-event days, available to all visitors.  A great addition to the Premium Access Tour.
