Your outback adventure begins. Fly to Longreach from Brisbane. Check into your accommodation then head out to explore the town.

The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre is dedicated to telling the stories behind some of Australia’s greatest outback explorers, stock workers, pastoralists and Aborigines.

From April to October, book a Cobb & Co Stagecoach tour, in a restored horse-drawn coach, along an old mail route or a sunset cruise on the Thomson River with stockman’s campfire dinner.

The next day is dedicated to the Qantas Founders Museum’s ‘Spirit of Australia’ Platinum Tour. Start with a three-hour guided tour of the Boeing 747 and 707. See the ‘black box’ flight recorders, learn how to ‘arm the doors’, sit in the pilot’s seat, inspect the cargo hold and the exterior of the Super Constellation and take a walk on the wings of the Boeing 747 and 707. Explore the museum and enjoy a meal in the McGinness’ Restaurant before leaving with your personal souvenir photo.

In the evening take the Sunset Tour of the famous Camden Park Station. Return to Brisbane the next day.
