Join an expert guide for an engaging private tour of the Australian War Memorial’s Commemorative Courtyard and hear just some of the stories of service and sacrifice behind the over 103,000 names on the Australian Roll of Honour.
After entering the Hall of Memory, guests may wish to place a poppy on the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier. Moving into the world-class galleries your guide will connect you with powerful stories of courage, devotion, and mateship told through our exhibitions and collection. Following the tour, you will be hosted by a Memorial curator for a 30-minute exclusive viewing of collection, ranging from rare letters, photographs and diaries – many over a century old. Iconic and rarely displayed artworks by some of Australia’s most important artists are also available for viewing. You may also wish to say on for lunch at Poppy’s Cafe and afterwards lay a wreath at the daily closing Last Post Ceremony.
