Experience all the museum has to offer, including a wing walk.
Qantas Founders Museum is dedicated to telling the story of Qantas. The Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services began in the Longreach region of outback Queensland in 1920, a fitting home for the airline known as ‘the Spirit of Australia’.
With interpretive displays, interactive exhibits, replica aircraft and an impressive collection of genuine artefacts, the collection includes five of the world’s most significant aeroplanes – Super Constellation, PBY Catalina Flying Boat, Douglas DC3, Boeing 707 and the legendary Boeing 747.
Experience the main exhibition hall with interactive displays and the National Heritage-listed original Qantas hangar containing replica aircraft. Join the Platinum Tour to go behind the scenes of the Boeing 747 and 707 and walk on the wing of each aircraft.
The Museum has a fully licensed café and gift store with souvenirs, clothing, accessories, books and a range of Qantas memorabilia.
