This is a premium experience developed with Cultural Attractions of Australia in mind.
Private dinner with Mona owner and maths nerd David Walsh.
Mona has one of the largest collections of artworks by world-famous light artist James Turrell south of the equator.
The good news is you’ll need to stay overnight in Mona’s luxury accommodation pavilions to experience them all. With this package, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to all the Turrell artworks, as well as some hardcore Turrell knowledge from Mona’s expert art invigilators.
For example, did you know James Turrell introduced David Walsh to his wife (in the artist’s private volcano, if you believe the rumours)? Also included is an oyster tasting on your private waterside balcony, a fancy lunch at Source Restaurant (James Turrell eats there when he’s in town), and an extremely Instagrammable dinner and wine experience at Faro Bar and Restaurant—nestled among Mona’s Turrell artworks in the museum’s Pharos wing. Then it’s back to your luxe, riverfront pavilion for God knows what.
INCLUSIONS
Includes one night’s accommodation at the Mona pavilions, artwork entry to Unseen Seen and Event Horizon, artwork access to Beside Myself and Amarna, oysters and Moorilla sparkling on your deck, dinner with matched wine at Faro Bar and Restaurant, breakfast and lunch, Posh Pit return ferry tickets from Hobart, and museum entry.
