Asia TOPA: Asia-Pacific Triennial of Performing Arts returns to celebrate the creative imagination of artists and cultures in the Asia-Pacific region.
In an Arts Centre Melbourne exclusive, one of the world’s greatest spiritual singers, Abida Parveen, performs at Hamer Hall, while Vietnam’s top acrobats fuse daring feats with contemporary dance in bamboo circus À Ố Làng Phố. The world premiere of breathtaking new work Samsara sees the vast histories and cultures of India and China meet in a stunning work of dance, and pioneering artist Ryoji Ikeda performs his work datamatics [ver. 2.0] live.
